Frequently Asked Questions

Flowers
Q: What sort of timeframe do we need to pull off a successful fundraiser?

A: Six weeks, start-to-finish, is ideal. We recommend sending out the flyer six weeks before the holiday or occasion and then follow up with the reminder flyer one week before the end date, just to make sure everyone who'd like to participate and support your school, non-profit organization or favorite charity has an opportunity to do so.

Q: What payment methods does Mrs. Bloom's accept?

A: Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Discover. Our website is very secure (Authorize.net certified), however, if you prefer to pay by cash or check please complete the order form found on the flyer and remit payment to your fundraising administrator.

Q: When will we receive our flowers?

A: Information about the arrival day and pick-up window can be found on the flyer you receive from your fundraiser administrator.

We ship via FedEx Priority, which means that your flowers should arrive by 10:30am. However, delays beyond our control may occur.

Your fundraising administrator will receive, via email, a FedEx tracking number to check on delivery status.

IMPORTANT: Given the perishable nature of fresh-cut flowers, it is imperative that they are distributed as soon as possible once they are delivered. If it will be a few hours before participants pick up their flowers, it would be helpful to open the boxes and place them in a walk in refrigerator (if available) to maximize freshness.

Q: How can we maximize our sales?

A: In order for a fundraiser to be truly successful, we encourage children and parents to reach out to anyone they know and trust, including family, friends, co-workers and neighbors. We do not advocate door-to-door selling.

Keep in mind that flowers should be an "easy sell" since many people buy them for the holidays anyway.

Q: How do I take care of my flowers?

A: In order to maximize the vase life of your flowers, remove all foliage that will fall below the water line, trim the flowers one inch from the bottom of the stems and immediately place in a clean vase with clean water. Don’t forget to use the flower food packet accompanying your flowers as per the instructions on the back. Keep the flowers away from heat, direct sunlight and draft. Recutting the stems and changing water every 2 days further prolongs vase life.

Believe it or not, some people sing to their flowers. It couldn't hurt.

Q: My roses opened at different times. Why?

A: There are many colors and varieties of roses and each opens at a slightly different rate. Opening is also affected by temperature and frequency of stem cutting and water changing.

Q: I'd like to dry my flowers. What's the best way to do that?

A: Not all flowers dry well. To get the best results hang them upside down in a dimly lit, dry area.

Q: What if we're not happy with the flowers we receive?

A: No worries. You will be very, very happy with your flowers. However, should any problems arise with your order please see our return policy.

Q: Does Mrs. Bloom's accept telephone or fax orders?

A: As much as we'd love to be able to speak with all fundraising participants, due to the sheer volume of orders we receive we are unable to accommodate telephone or fax orders. We really appreciate your understanding.

Q: Is there a real Mrs. Bloom's?

A: Mrs. Bloom's is a figment of our imagination. Kind of like Mrs. Butterworth, Mr. Clean and Mr. Goodbar. However, most likely there are a few genuine Mrs. Blooms out there. Please let us know if you come across one.
